Processing method

  1. Read the existing ID3 and artwork state.
  2. Validate the selected image type and size.
  3. Replace front-cover artwork while retaining selected fields.
  4. Export a new MP3 around the unchanged audio stream.

Known limits

  • Large images are rejected before export.
  • The output writes a single front-cover APIC frame.
  • Some players may not display WebP artwork.
