INSPECTION / FACTS, NOT REPAIR CLAIMS

Read the audio file passport in browser memory.

Inspect container clues and decoded PCM facts without modifying or exporting the file. Measurements describe this decode only.

BROWSER-LOCAL / LIVE
FILE BOUNDARYThe selected file enters browser memory only. There is no server upload path, and the source is never overwritten.

BROWSER-LOCAL PROCESSING

01

Processing method

  1. Read filename, MIME and byte size.
  2. Decode locally and report rate, duration and channel count.
  3. Scan PCM samples for peak, RMS and crest factor.
  4. Keep metadata and peak together in one inspection workspace.
02

Known limits

  • MIME and filename are container clues, not forensic identification.
  • Browser decoders may normalize or reject uncommon codecs.
  • Peak is calculated from decoded PCM, not compressed packet data.
